Bradenton is fortunate to have many locally owned businesses that allow residents an opportunity to invest in the community. The downtown area offers unique shopping experiences with a variety of consignment shops and small boutiques. Inside, you can find clothing, shoes, accessories, and jewelry to help spice up your Friday evening attire or give your professional wardrobe a nice pick-me-up.

The Unique Boutique of the Women’s Resource Center
Rusty-Crickett's-03.jpgLocated on Old Main Street in the Jennings Arcade, this resale boutique offers gently used, brand name clothing and accessories in a variety of women’s sizes.

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) originated in 1990 when a group of Manatee County professional women decided to start an organization to help women that didn’t qualify for any assistance but were not in a position to support themselves.

The shop accepts donations of gently used items such as clothes, shoes and accessories.

Rusty Crickett’s
Rusty-Crickett's-04.jpgThis family owned boutique is located off the beaten path and received its namesake from Jan Carpenter, AKA Crickett. The shop is uniquely housed in a fully restored 1920s Victorian-style home and officially opened in 2007. Stop in and check out the variety of items the shop offers including fashionable jewelry, coastal décor, handmade gifts, and clothing.

Madeline’s Boutique
madelyns.jpgThe recently-opened Madeline’s is located right off Manatee Avenue on 6th Street and has already created a buzz locally. The southern-style boutique opened in November and offers comfortable, trendy women’s clothing, various household items, and fashion accessories.

The boutique is named after the store’s owner and operator, Madeline Brown.
