Great Lizard! The Discovery of Megalosaurus with David Berry
In 1824 Megalosaurus became the first dinosaur to be scientifically named and described. Meet the pioneers of paleontology involved in its discovery and learn of the challenges they faced in explaining the existence of a “Great Lizard” that lived millions of years ago.
David Berry is the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. His interest in Megalosaurus relates to previous research on the history of museums.
