South Florida Museum: Family Night - Under the Microscope

On the 1st Saturday of most months the Museum stays open late for an evening of family fun! Every month there is a different theme with hands-on activities and special films or performances. You can also enjoy a manatee presentation at 6 pm, the Space Park 360 Planetarium adventure at 7 pm, a Live Star Talk at 7:30 pm, and the Rock Hall of Fame show at 8:15 pm (unless otherwise noted).
Admission is reduced to Adults - $9, Seniors (65+) - $8 and Children (4-12) - $7 after 3 pm; members and children 3 and under are always free.


May 2 – Under the Microscope
When Antony Van Leeuwenhoek first peered through the lens of his new tool, the microscope, he saw tiny "beasties" (his own word) swimming in the pond water. Meet local Magiscope inventor Dennis Brock and use his special microscope to examine the tiny "micro" world. Then shrink yourself down and explore your giant backyard in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!
Special Feature film Honey I Shrunk the Kids! showing at 4 pm. (Rated PG, 86 min.) Tickets $2 with Museum admission- Limited seating available. Purchase tickets at the admission desk.
