“Music & Movies” – A partnership between Realize Bradenton, the Downtown Development Authority and the South Florida Museum, we are happy to bring you this wonderful collection of movies about music and musicians with live musical performances by our talented local artists.

It Might Get Loud (2009) Rated PG, 98 mins. Rarely can a film penetrate the glamorous surface of rock legends. It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos--The Edge (U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and invented.

Live musical performance by Dan Shafer. A unique blend of folk, blues, indie, and rock, Dan Shafer is an Americana singer-songwriter hailing from Florida's West Coast. His original music will move from waltzing ballads to two-stepping honky tonk, punk-inspired anthems, and modern folk with intelligent and emotional lyrics draped in classical sensibilities.
