(Bradenton, FL) — “Keep Calm And Play The Blues.” “Card Carrying Blues Fan.” “Friendly City Blues.” These are just three of the blues-friendly slogans printed on eight custom-designed pins produced by Realize Bradenton to promote the 2014 Bradenton Blues Festival and local businesses. Realize Bradenton is a non-profit organization that brings people together and promotes economic development through collaborative events, partnerships, and interactive strategies.

According to Johnette Isham, executive director of Realize Bradenton, the pins are the latest example of the innovative marketing campaigns the organization is famed for.

“The pins are a great way to raise awareness of the festival,” she says. “But they also create connections with our Blues Festival family.” Isham explains that each pin, which will sell for $2, will be affixed to an envelope containing coupons from 30 Bradenton area Blues Festival sponsors and supporters.

“So, for the cost of $2, you’ll get over $900 worth of promotions from Bradenton-based businesses,” she explains. “Honestly, it’s a win-win. The campaign promotes the Bradenton Blues Festival and drives customers to support local businesses.”

The Bradenton Blues Festival pins will be available starting Thursday, September 11, at Keeton's Office & Art Supply, 817 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton, and Callaghan Tire, 3615 15th Street East, Bradenton. The pins will also be available in October and November at the downtown Bradenton Farmers’ Market.

The 2014 Bradenton Blues Festival

The 2014 Bradenton Blues Festival returns to downtown Bradenton's Riverwalk, December 6, 2014, with an all-star lineup that includes veteran singer and songwriter Marcia Ball, the double-edged guitar dynamics of Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, the rollicking Little Ed and the Blue Imperials, multiple Grammy nominee Bill Branch & The Sons of Blues, young whirlwind Samantha Fish, "Georgia Songbird" EG Kight, local stars Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones with harmonica virtuoso Dennis Gruenling; and refined finger-style blues guitarist Dave Muskett, who will entertain audiences between the major acts. Southern-inspired cuisine, craft beverages, and an array of vendors complement the live music to create a comfortable, family-friendly experience in the park-like setting alongside the Bradenton Riverwalk. Proceeds from the festival support Realize Bradenton’s free youth, art, and music outreach programs.
