BRADENTON, Fla. — Realize Bradenton, a nonprofit organization that brings people together, recently elected three board members to officer positions on Board of Directors. Elected to the three-year positions are Ann Breitinger (Chair), Sue Revell (Vice Chair), and Melodie Rich (Treasurer). The Board of Directors take action on critical issues and opportunities from a mission-based perspective to build community and economic development in downtown Bradenton.

“Not only do each of these individuals bring energy, talent, and perspective to the board, they also have close ties to the Bradenton area. Their diverse backgrounds make them true assets to Realize Bradenton and the community,” said Johnette Isham, Executive Director of Realize Bradenton.

Ann Breitinger, elected Chair, is an attorney in Blalock Walters’ business and healthcare practice areas. She counsels clients regarding entity formation, business governance issues, business transactions and healthcare transactional and regulatory matters. Breitinger is a member of Florida Association of Women Lawyers, The Florida Bar, and serves on the boards of directors of Manatee County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and We Care Manatee.

“I am honored to be elected Chair of the Realize Bradenton board of directors.” Said Ann Breitinger, “The upcoming season will bring new and exciting changes in ways we engage residents and businesses in downtown Bradenton. I am ready to begin planning with the board and staff to continue the positive impact of Realize Bradenton.”

Sue Revell, elected Vice Chair, served as the executive director of the Manatee County Bar Association for 25 years. Revell handled administration, communications, and served as the public face of the Manatee County Bar Association acting as liaison between the Bar Association and other professional organizations, and provided support to association members in and outside of the local law community. A native Floridian and a resident of Manatee County since 1977, Revell supports a number of local nonprofit organizations, including the Manatee River Fair Association (Director Emeritus), First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, The Florida Bar, and Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. Revell was awarded the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Bradenton Branch 2017 Woman of Achievement.

Melodie Rich, elected Treasurer, is a CPA and tax director with Mauldin & Jenkins. She has 20 years of experience in providing a wide range of tax services and specializes in estate planning, including income tax planning for trusts and estates. Rich is a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Manatee County, Inc. and currently serves on the board of the United Way of Manatee County and Southwest Florida Planned Giving Council.

Realize Bradenton’s current board of directors includes Mark Boehmig, Ann Breitinger (Chair), Kim Daglish, Bridgette Halliburton, Jedd Heap, April Lane, Sue Revell (Vice Chair), Melodie Rich (Treasurer), Kay Wight, and Jennifer Zavadil.
