Follow Your Nose

Do you love food? Well you’ve come to the right place. Downtown Bradenton serves up some of the city’s best cuisine and you can easily satisfy your appetite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Below are a few hotspots that are sure to wet your appetite.

sage-biscuit.jpgSage Biscuit DowntownSage Biscuit is the new kid on the block and has a loyal following thanks to its original location on Cortez Road. Lucky for us, they opened their second location in downtown and the place has been packed ever since.

Their homemade breakfast and lunch options are served in hefty portions and there are incredible dishes to choose from including  smoked salmon benedict, biscuits and gravy, banana-caramel-walnut brioche French toast, and their vegan black bean chili.

Hungry yet? I know I am.

Sage Biscuit is open 7 days a week. To find additional info, go to WalkBradenton.com and click the green GO button. In the SEARCH bar type SAGE BISCUIT to learn more.

RB-Walk-Bradenton---Arte-Caffe-01.jpgArte CafféThis Italian bakery and market is located in the Village of the Arts and is operated by Chef Remo and Meredith Mambelli. Chef Remo cooked the third course at Bradenton’s inaugural event, “Long Table at the Station”—a six-course fine dining experience in October, 2017.

I highly recommend Arte Caffé’s outstanding pizzas. They are fresh, crispy, and full of Italian flavor. The restaurant is set in an intimate and cozy space. Depending on where you sit, you can see Chef Remo cooking in the kitchen. You’ll literally feel right at home.

Some of their other dishes include pastas, Italian sandwiches, and salads.

Pier-22-01.jpgPier 22 — Looking for a romantic dinner or place to enjoy lunch with family and friends? Pier 22 has been a staple in the downtown community for years and is known for its casual-fine dining. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and is located on Manatee River, which makes a post-dinner stroll all the more enjoyable.

I’ve eaten at Pier 22 on several occasions and I can honestly say I've loved every dish. One of my favorite meals is their rack of lamb, which is literally a heavenly experience. Pier 22 also features sushi, seafood, and freshly-prepared entrees, as well as soups and salads.
