Florida's Seminole Wars Presentation

In conjunction with Florida’s recognition of Native American Heritage Month, the Manatee County Historical Commission will host a presentation by authors and Seminole War historians, John and Mary Lou Missall, titled:  A Seminole Wars Tour of Florida.  

Florida’s Seminole Wars are often said to be the longest, costliest, and deadliest of all the nation's Indian wars, spanning a period of forty years. For the Seminole people, it was a fight to remain in their homeland which sadly ended with the removal of 3,000 Seminoles from Florida.  

The public is welcome to attend the presentation.

Admission is free.

Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
